Hallprint Pty Ltd is a small South Australian based manufacturer of a highly specialised product, namely fish tags for fisheries and aquaculture research programs.
Hallprint is recognised by fisheries researchers world-wide for the quality of its product and service. Hallprint was established in 1972 in Adelaide, South Australia, originally producing self-adhesive labels, and first became involved in fish tag manufacture in the early 1980s. Hallprint has specialised in producing fish tags since 1984.
The founder and Managing Director of Hallprint for over 30 years was Michael (Mike) Hall. With the support of his wife Wendy, who remains a director of the company, Mike did a superlative job in establishing Hallprint as a high quality, totally reliable and innovative supplier of fish tags to researchers world-wide.
Mike's ill health and subsequent premature passing away in April 2003 at the age of 65 prompted his son David to quit his career job in wine industry research and development and take over the running of the company as Managing Director. David is a very well known and highly credentialled former Australian fisheries biologist and manager and had much to do with encouraging his father to venture into fish tag production more than 20 years ago.
As Office Manager, Leanne Berich manages important administrative and financial operations and, along with David and Wendy, is a Director of the company.
